Efficiency Drive At Tyrenet Sees Testing Of New System
For the past year Tyrenet has been in talks with Cam Systems, looking to develop a new efficiency driven internal system, which full integrates with the concepts of fleet checking, casing management and breakdown allocation.

The new Cam Portal system is a big step away from the DOS based Cameo system which is familiar to many in the tyre industry. It allows for service level agreements to be build around the customer, in order to reduce the risk of error, whilst also increasing efficiency by eliminating those “now… where has that paperwork gone?” moments which used to mean a rummage around your desk, or a quick shout over to one of your colleagues.
Tyrenet are currently involved in testing and further aiding the development of the new system, with the aim to go live with the first of the system modules in early April after the completion of any required training. The anticipated efficiency increase will reduce the time it takes to take on and allocate a breakdown, and will also reduce the time between job creation to invoice, giving Tyrenet more time to focus on meeting our customers needs.
Now, if you thought that was bad, you can be sure that it was a nightmare for our Tyrenet fleet customers. And that is why Tyrenet stayed open throughout the bad weather. Needless to say we had quite a few calls, and helped out quite a few drivers in difficult circumstances. After all, it’s part of what we are paid to do.
