Out Of Hours Service Moved In House

Great News! Tyrenet has moved its night service in house!

After several months of painstakingly searching for the right solution for our customers, and taking some flak along the way, Tyrenet has taken steps to move our night service in house. Using the latest call handling and rerouting technology we are now able to offer customers a much improved night service to ensure that night time jobs are completed just as efficiently as day time jobs.

Tyrenet night time call handling is now shared between our day time operatives, and in the event of busy lines any overflow will be taken on by experienced Tyrenet partner John Meyers of The Night Service. John Meyers, an ex truck mechanic, not only has years of industry experience but also takes on night time calls for several other breakdown networks across the commercial spectrum and has a real understanding of the needs of our customers, to have their breakdown dealt with quickly, efficiently and correctly.

Marc Kinnear, Tyrenet Fleet Inspection Co-ordinator said:

“Our new and improved night service now incorporates the knowledge and flexibility that some of our previous night service solutions regrettably lacked. With the implementation of inbound call recording, in the unlikely event of a job gone wrong, we are also able to review the handling of the call in order to learn from any mistakes made”

Your Tyre Information Online – New Tyrenet System Under Development

by Richard on May 10th, 2010 in Dealer News, Fleet News, News

With the development and implementation of Cam Portal well under way at Tyrenet, attention has now been focused on our new online information system.

As of the beginning of May, Tyrenet have begun to develop and test a fully flexible online reporting suite which will allow our customers to have instant access to their data online. Whether it be information on an invoice, a vehicle or a casing, this new system will allow you see your information how you want, and when you want it.

Tyrenet’s system developer, Richard Hemingway said:

Interactive Reports is a 3rd party tool which will allow our customer’s to drill down into their information, in which ever way they want. Tyrenet has considered several 3rd party tools which would allow our customers to view their information online. Other tools such as Crystal reports are often the software of choice for many organisations. The problem we found with Crystal reports is that once a report has been created, it becomes static. With customers having varying information needs, a report which is perfect for one customer, may not be appropriate for another. Interactive Reports however allows you to change the structure and visual state of your report in a simple and intuitive way, so that you can adjust it to meet your individual needs, with no need to wait for us to make the necessary changes for you. If you want to see a pie chart of costs by wheel position on a vehicle, it’s just one click away. If you’d prefer a data sheet or a line graph, or to compare it to another vehicle, it’s up to you and you can change it right there and then.

Development and testing of Tyrenet’s Interactive Reports system is expected to be completed within the next few months, and further development will be ongoing as more information modules are added to our new Cam Portal system, allowing us to report on a greater wealth of live information.
